Megalodon has given us a nice Guilty Gear Christmas present in the form of Volume 34 and 35 of his best casual matches at Takadanobaba Mikado series!  Both volumes feature Kansai players making rare appearances at Mikado, with Kedako in 34 and Samitto/Summit in 35. Volume 34 Machaboo(Testament) vs Kedako(May) Volume 35 Samitto(Chipp) vs Kiisha(Faust), OsakaB(Faust), Machaboo(Testament) This footage has also been added to the Compilation Videos page.

a-cho had a very special event for Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code Ver 1.07 on the day of and before Christmas Eve!  They had a singles tourney, a 3on3, and a 3on3 same character tournament to celebrate Melty Blood’s 5th year anniversary in arcades.  It’s hard to believe that it’s been that long since the game has grown out of its doujin roots and gone commercial. So a-cho decided to give us a Christmas gift and release the videos for the singles tourney really quickly: literally a day after!  All of Top 32 was […]

A continuation of the previous post, IPW now has the Painwheel video up, with combos recorded by Mike Z at SoCal Regionals. Painwheel has some really gruesome looking combos, and as expected her flight mechanics gives her a lot of combo possibilities.  Grab resets seem very feasible with her.  Seems like she can also combo off of her grab special in the corner.  Additionally, the video shows a way to combo into and out of her install super using the stagger induced by her nail projectiles. EDIT: The Valentine video is up too!  I’m surprised […]

Ms. Fortune players get a real treat today!  There was a pretty big Skullgirls tournament at SoCal Regionals 2011 last weekend, and Mike Z ended up recording some Ms. Fortune combos for everyone.  It was recorded by Rin Harasaki, the guy who runs the BBVLog Youtube channel, but the video’s an iPlaywinner exclusive. There’s a lot of useful information about Ms. Fortune’s move properties that you can take from this video.  Like most other characters, she can combo off of her throw.  On the ground, her decapitation move(where she rolls her head at the opponent […]

The return of Ruu!

Kansai’s greatest Bridget player and one of the strongest oldschool Guilty Gear players Ruu is back in action!  Some of my friends were actually in contact with Ruu over the years, and I’ve been told that he disappeared from the competitive Guilty Gear scene to become a monk.  Pretty interesting, if not unexpected. First off, Kansai Ky player Roz recorded a set of 10 matches between Ruu’s Bridget and Samitto’s Chipp(on a camera, unfortunately).  Anybody who has seen the Bridget vs Chipp matchup knows that they tend to take a long time, and these are […]
