Before I talk about the loketests, I’d like to mention that there is currently a problem with comments on this site. For whatever reason, comments are completely broken. Not only are all of the old comments gone, but it is also impossible for anyone to make new comments. I think that this was caused by a recent flood of spam comments. Either way, I have no idea how to fix it, so comments are pretty much going to be nonexistent for the time being. Back to real news! Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- has been announced […]

GG news roundup

Happy Holidays! Since the last few news posts have been dedicated to the Xrd location tests, I thought I’d fill you guys in on other GG related things that happened in the meantime. But first, a camera pic of the recent Dengeki magazine reveals that Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax is coming out in March of 2014. In almost no time at all, the 3rd location test for Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- has started and will be going on this entire weekend! Bedman has impressive range and is unique in being […]

The second location test for Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- is happening this weekend! I’ll be updating this post periodically as more information becomes available. Since the first test, 4 characters have been added to the roster: Axl, I-No, Faust, and Slayer. There is now more information available on the different roman cancels: Yellow RC costs 25% meter, and is only available for certain moves on whiff. They can only be performed during a move’s active frames. Purple RCs are 50%, and they show up when an RC is attempted on a whiffed move that is […]

The location tests for Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- are happening this weekend, and there have been a flood of reports from Japanese players over Twitter, as well as a multitude of articles. I’ll try to neatly compile all the general system info in this post, and I will also keep it updated throughout the weekend as new material becomes available. The general impression is that the game still feels like Guilty Gear, which is definitely a good thing. Match pacing seems to be the same, and there is slightly more hitstop on hits which make […]
