Couple of Skullgirls updates I wanted to mention. Now that the game is out there’s been a flurry of new videos posted every day, so it’s kind of impossible for me to keep up. But I do want to highlight the videos that everyone’s favorite gamebreaker Desk has made. They give a good explanation of how the Infinite Protection System in Skullgirls works, and also give insight on approaches to take to get around this system. You can read a more detailed explanation on his blog.
On the more artistic side of things, people have been wandering how to unlock each character’s 10th palette, and sideburns on SRK has finally figured out how! It’s a code of 6 buttons that varies depending on which console you are playing the game on. You can head over to Canopy Kingdom for both of the codes.
Dazz has ripped most of the artwork from Skullgirls, including Story Mode portraits, backgrounds, and cut scene art. No sprites yet, though! They are available for download at The Spriters Resource.
Many of the Skullgirls clean up artists have begun posting their animations on Tumblr and DeviantArt! Personally I find it fascinating to look at the work they had to do: it’s clear that it took a monumental amount of effort and time to make everything look so good. Head on over to the Deviantart of Eyecager and the Tumblr of ligernenoka, BahiJD, Gears Are Turning, Melissa Dixon, and Setsuna22 for these delicious animations.
