More Parasoul palettes

New post on the official Skullgirls homepage from Brian about palettes and the work that goes into making them!  Seems like we have the same taste in characters so lots of Parasoul is featured~ Skullgirls seems to be setting all sorts of new standards for 2D fighting games, even in the palette department!  It’s really cool how the depth map system allows them to emulate textures.  No doubt the shiny texture on the red dress in Parasoul’s Jessica Rabbit palette owes much to this. Keep up the good work Brian!

Megalodon on Nico has finally released the 7th part of his Best of Mikado GGXXAC compilation video series!  I love the montage of FAB with all the clutch slashbacks in the 2nd half. This has also been added to the GG compilation videos page.

Tougeki 2011

So Tougeki 2011 has come and passed.  Ever since 2007, it has been downsizing every year and 2011 is perhaps the most drastic example, with the lineup getting cut down to just 4 games.  Sadly Guilty Gear was taken out of the lineup, which was both expected and a surprise at the same time.  It’s expected in the sense that it’s a fairly old game with a steadily shrinking scene, but it’s also a surprise because GG is consistently among the most hype tournaments at every Tougeki.  I believe that one of the reasons is […]

Parasoul’s voice!

Newest video on the weekly Friday Night Fights segment of the official Skullgirls Youtube channel has a match with Parasoul’s lines finally added in!  She pretty much sounds exactly like what I expected: very stern and serious.  It’s very Cammy-like.  I was kind of hoping she would have a husky, sultry voice like Jessica Rabbit’s, but this is just as good. Also of note are two new Parasoul palettes that I haven’t seen yet in earlier videos.  Amazingly, she has the Mitsuru palette that I suggested in my earlier SG post!  She even has the […]

4Gamer has the goods.  This comes from a location test at AM Show, and the quality is surprisingly good considering it’s shaky cam.  Kanji, Yukiko, and Chie are featured.  Kanji has a command throw, as I expected.  And Chie has Jam’s Ryujin, much to no one’s surprise.  She also seems to have some sort of parry or counter move, and she has Agneyastra and God’s Hand as supers.  She has a rage super as well.  Yukiko has several moves that look like Minagi’s from Eternal Fighter Zero, and she has a super that’s like a […]
